DATA ANALYST
National Team for Accelerating Poverty Reduction (TNP2K)
Jakarta-based,Full-Time
PRSF is a joint facility between AusAID and the Government of Indonesia to improve the quality of policy advice for poverty programs in Indonesia.
The role of the Data Analyst is to provide expertise to acquire, manage, and analyze data – particularly the Unified Data Base, Susenas, Podes and other databases relevant to social protection/poverty alleviation program targeting - and report the results.
The Date Analyst will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Prepare statistical analysis and other kinds of data analysis work as part of producing relevant targeting information and data to fulfill the requirements of various Social Protection programs
- Contribute towards UPSPK’s support for various Social Protection programs, including providing input and recommendations for the design and implementation of the programs to increase the effectiveness of the programs
- In collaboration with the Operations and Research teams in UPSPK and other relevant unit in TNP2K Secretariat, searching for and evaluating new sources of data that help provide additional insight, answer different questions or identify trends related to targeting in social protection / poverty alleviation programs.
- In collaboration with MIS/IT team in UPSPK, create an interface to integrate the new data-sources with UDB.
- Identify data quality issues, such as duplicate records or missing values, in UDB and other datasets related to targeting in social protection / poverty alleviation programs, and reports inconsistencies or suspect data, and develop recommendations based on findings.
- Extract data and prepare overviews of UDB and other datasets used by UPSPK by creating a series of graphs or scatterplots and running necessary statistical tests.
- Coordinate data entry when needed or required.
- Explore improvement opportunities in appropriate tools for visualizing and presenting data using charts, graphs or tabular reports.
- Generate routine and ad hoc reports related to UDB and other datasets used by UPSPK.
- Other tasks as necessary depending on changing needs of UPSPK.
- Bachelor's in Information Management, Computing, Economics, Statistics, or related fields.
- Knowledge in social protection/poverty alleviation programs would be advantageous
- Previous data analysis experience
- Experience in implementation of major socio-economic surveys such as SUSENAS will be an advantage Experience using Stata, SPSS or SQL for analyzing datasets.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products such as MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
- Fluent Bahasa Indonesia in written and spoken.
- Fluency in English will be an advantage.
